Business/it

Accounting, logistics, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, digital media, website development, graphic design network technician, support technician are all potential post-high school careers for our business/IT pathway students.

 

Business/IT is a broad, growing field with many opportunities for specialization– including accounting, information technology, graphic design, marketing, and human resources. Business/IT is a dynamic pathway that is constantly changing in due to new laws as well as by local, national, and global competition.  Learn to manage and lead individuals and group projects creating, publishing, financing  and marketing.

The business/IT pathway provides students with the most opportunities for outside certifications, such as Microsoft Office Specialist in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; Internet & Computing Core; Microsoft Technology Associate in Windows Operating System Fundamentals, Software Development Fundamentals, Database Fundamentals, Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, Networking Fundamentals, Security Fundamentals, Mobility and Device Fundamentals, Cloud Fundamentals, HTML5 Application Development Fundamentals and Introduction to Programming Using Block-Based Languages; Adobe Certified Associate in InDesign, Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver.  

We also have Tech Prep agreements so our students can earn college credits in high school to jumpstart their college careers.

 

Business Professionals of America (BPA) is one of our school’s Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) here at CTHS. BPA is dedicated to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills, Business Professionals of America is the premier co-curricular CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) providing programs in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.
